Labor and Employment Partner Mishell Parreno Taylor shared her outlook on progressive legislative wage and hour trends that are top of mind for employers in the new year, including equal pay legislation and age-old wage and hour legislation that presents new challenges in the era of artificial intelligence and other advancements in technology.

Law360 wrote: "Part of what may be behind this is that an incoming generation of workers want more information and workers are also more willing to share and obtain such data, said Mishell Parreno Taylor, a partner with management-side firm Akerman LLP.

'Businesses are feeling more and more comfortable with providing that level of detail,' she said. 'The trend is certainly not toward restricting information.'"

Parreno Taylor was also quoted: "AI is now a high priority for employers.

This is one of those areas where we have yet to see the legislation. We're seeing it in the form of executive orders at this point. We're going to see the law really develop on this front going forward."
