Akerman bankruptcy and reorganization partner Thomas Fullerton in Chicago has been selected as a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute's 40 Under 40 Class of 2022, which recognizes 40 of the nation's top insolvency industry professionals under age 40. He will be recognized during a special ceremony at the American Bankruptcy Institute’s (ABI) Winter Leadership Conference from December 8-10 in La Quinta, Calif.

Fullerton represents financial institutions, alternative lenders, and servicers in loan financing transactions, workouts, bankruptcies, and litigation. He also advises clients both in and out of court in various situations of financial distress.

Members of the 40 Under 40 class were selected by a diverse steering committee of insolvency professionals. The committee selected nominees based on their academic and professional achievements including community service, public speaking and more. With more than 12,000 members, the ABI is the nation’s largest association of bankruptcy and insolvency professionals.
