Akerman Senterfitt today announced the launch of Health Law Rx, a blog which will focus on current developments in healthcare law.
Akerman lawyers and government affairs professionals from across the United States will contribute to Health Law Rx and address a variety of timely issues impacting businesses and healthcare professionals including legislative and regulatory changes; the Affordable Care Act; healthcare litigation; healthcare M&A and joint ventures; HIPAA compliance; hospitals and health systems; Medicare; Medicaid; pharmacy, drugs and medical devices; physician transactions and health ventures; senior living facilities; and healthcare fraud and abuse.

Seven lawyers from Akerman's Healthcare Practice Group will serve as the blog's editorial committee and function as main contributors, including Davis, Bruce Platt, Joe Rugg, Robert Slavkin, Marshall Burack, Betsy Hodge and Sheryl Rosen. Beth Alcalde and Ari Gerstin with the firm's Taxation and Litigation Practice Groups will also serve as regular contributors.
