Akerman is delighted to share that Brittanie Browning has taken office on June 9, 2023 as President of the Young Lawyers Division (“YLD”) for the State Bar of Georgia.

"It is an honor to serve my colleagues and the State Bar of Georgia," Browning said. "As YLD president, I want to advocate for all the young lawyers across the state of Georgia and spearhead meaningful opportunities for professional and personal growth."

Browning is a litigation associate based in Akerman's Atlanta office where her practice is focused on coverage litigation and appellate matters. She guides clients through all stages of litigation from pre-litigation matters until completion up to and including appeal. Her civil litigation experience includes drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery. She is experienced in guiding clients through preparation for questioning at deposition, trial, and arbitration. Browning routinely conducts and defends depositions. She has successfully argued dispositive motions before state courts on behalf of her clients. Prior to joining Akerman, she routinely first-chaired evidentiary bench trial at administrative hearings. Her experience also includes representing clients in alternative dispute resolution such as mediation and arbitration.
