Akerman Litigation Partner Ildefonso "Dito" P. Mas has been appointed rapporteur of the Non-Trial Resolutions of Bribery Cases Subcommittee within the International Bar Association (IBA).
The appointment reflects Akerman's continued engagement with the IBA and highlights the firm's leadership and depth of experience in anti-corruption, compliance, and complex government and internal investigations.
Founded in 1947, the IBA is the world's foremost organization for international legal practitioners, bar associations, and law societies, with a global membership of more than 80,000 lawyers and 190 bar associations spanning more than 170 countries. Through its Legal Practice Division, the IBA advances the rule of law through conferences, publications, and collaborative projects addressing critical issues facing the international legal community.
Dito represents clients in complex civil and criminal litigation matters. He also advises clients on internal and regulatory investigations and white collar and compliance matters, including anti-money laundering and Foreign Corrupt Practices Act compliance. He has been recognized by Benchmark Litigation as a "40 & Under" honoree and was named a "Rising Star" by Super Lawyers Magazine in Washington, D.C.
