Complex Civil and Government Litigation:
- Represented former CEO and public company in attorney general civil enforcement action and investigation spanning several states and implicating the offices of attorney general of several states.
- Counsel for former president of foreign country in proceedings to secure release from confinement.
- Appointed as Special Assistant State Attorney in Cook County, Illinois, to represent the Cook County State Attorney’s Office in proceedings launched by Special Counsel into the Jussie Smollett matter.
- Represented, at trial, private equity fund manager in proceedings against the New York Attorney General.
- Secured preliminary injunction for members of board of directors against corporation and other board members engaging in unauthorized and unlawful acts.
- Part of trial team for large government contractor which received a $23 Million judgment in favor of client.
Internal and Regulatory Investigations:
- Represented large telecommunications company in FTC regulatory inquiry that was later closed with no action again same company.
- Represented former congressman in FCC regulatory inquiry that was closed with no action.
- Represented large publicly-traded company in an inquiry launched by the New York Attorney General.
Criminal Matters:
- Represented former CFO in case involving accounting, securities, and wire fraud charges, case voluntary dismissed by the Department of Justice.
- Negotiated favorable plea agreement for client charged with federal crimes.
- Assisted health care facility’s response to DOJ criminal investigation.
- Assisted large educational institution with response to federal grand jury subpoena.
Anti-Money Laundering and FCPA Compliance:
- Assisted large company in drafting and implementing FCPA compliance program.
- Assisted large international company in drafting and implementing an Anti-Money Laundering Compliance Program.
Congressional Matters:
- Represented former U.S. congressman in proceedings before the Office of Congressional Ethics.
- Represented large health care institution in response to a Congressional inquiry launched by both the House Oversight Committee and Senate Finance Committee.
