Akerman Real Estate Partners Meg E. George, Vivien R. Krieger, and Rachel E. McRoskey, have been named among GlobeSt.’s 2026 Women of Influence in the CRE Legal Counsel category. The annual recognition honors leading women in commercial real estate, with the CRE Legal Counsel category recognizing attorneys for their contributions to the industry.
Meg, a member of Akerman's Executive Committee, advises clients on a wide range of real estate and municipal law matters, including acquisitions, dispositions, development, land use and zoning, licensing, and permitting. She represents owners and developers across a variety of asset classes and regularly appears before municipal boards and commissions throughout the Chicago area. Meg is ranked by Chambers USA for Real Estate: Zoning/Land Use in Illinois and recognized by The Legal 500 for Real Estate – Land Use/Zoning.
Vivien represents developers, lenders, property owners, buyers, and nonprofit organizations in land use and zoning matters throughout New York City. She frequently drafts applications and represents clients before city and state agencies and public benefit corporations and advises on zoning approvals, development agreements, and related land use litigation. Vivien is ranked by Chambers USA for Real Estate: Zoning/Land Use in New York and was named by Crain’s New York Business as a Notable Woman in Law.
Rachel represents clients in a broad spectrum of local and national real estate transactions, including acquisitions and dispositions of diverse asset classes, as well as leasing and financing matters. She is highly skilled in structuring and negotiating joint venture arrangements and advises clients throughout the transaction lifecycle, from initial structuring and due diligence through closing. Rachel has been recognized by Best Lawyers as “One to Watch” in Real Estate Law and by Connect CRE as a Lawyers in Real Estate honoree.
