Ginny Childs was highlighted as the new leader of Akerman's Orlando office in the Orlando Business Journal article titled, "How this woman will guide Akerman law firm's growth in Orlando." The article discusses the life events that lead Childs to law school and how she ultimately decided to be a litigator. In addition, the article details what originally attracted her to join Akerman, her experience since joining the firm in 2008, and why she was eager to take on the leadership role as Orlando's new Office Managing Partner where she will guide Akerman's local networking and recruitment efforts, as well as the firm's philanthropy goals.

The Orlando Business Journal quoted Childs as saying, "I'm excited to grow this office and add attorneys across Central Florida. This is a time to be an inclusive, diverse working environment. We always have looked for diversity in this company. We're looking for diversity of talent to meet the needs of our clients. We are also looking for diversity of thought, diversity of background and diversity of personality."
