Catherine Choe focuses her practice on business bankruptcy, insolvency and restructuring, and commercial litigation. She assists creditors and trustees in bankruptcy proceedings to recover assets and obtain relief from the automatic stay. 

Catherine has represented and defended major property insurance carriers in state court. She also has advised clients on a wide variety of commercial matters involving breach of contract, civil theft, enforcement of judgments, and actions for replevin and conversion. 

Prior to joining Akerman, Catherine clerked for Judge Karen Jennemann in the Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Florida and Magistrate Judge Gregory Kelly in the U.S. District Court of the Middle District of Florida. Through her clerkships she has gained wide exposure to business reorganizations, liquidations, adversary proceeding litigation, and civil litigation in the federal courts.
