Andre Cortes focuses his practice on managing intellectual property portfolios for clients from a variety of industries, including medical devices, electronics, manufacturing, and real estate. Andre regularly prepares and prosecutes patent and trademark applications, drafts responses to office actions, composes infringement opinions, and analyzes and provides written opinions regarding validity, enforceability, and patentability issues.

Andre also develops pre-filing litigation strategies and litigates patent and trademark infringement cases. In addition, he represents clients throughout contested litigation processes, such as drafting motions and pleadings, conducting and responding to discovery, attending depositions and hearings, and drafting settlement agreements.
