Lease Dispute:
Represented a landlord in a lease dispute concerning COVID-19 moratorium and Proposition 65. Obtained order sustaining demurrer without leave to amend as to declaratory relief claim asserted by tenant. Obtained order compelling production of information related to opposing party’s finances, which forced opposing party to withdraw its primary defense.
Trade Secret Litigation:
Represented a pharmacy automation company and various subsidiaries in a trade secret and breach of contract case against former executives. Assisted in obtaining injunction to prevent former executives from launching a competitive company using misappropriated information.
Business Torts:
Represented leading financial institution in a case alleging breaches of fiduciary duty and contract, as well as fraud-based claims. Obtained order dismissing claims with prejudice.
Breach of Contract Dispute:
Represented executives in breach of contract dispute. Obtained two orders quashing service of summons for lack of jurisdiction, ending matters for clients.
Arbitration:
Represented CEO and private equity fund at an arbitration hearing in a partnership dispute involving alleged misappropriation, breach of contract, defamation, and whistleblower retaliation claims.
Pro Bono:
Assisted a client serving a life sentence for a marijuana conviction in obtaining compassionate release.
