Pia-Milan represents insurers and corporate clients in complex insurance coverage disputes, commercial litigation, and employment matters. She regularly advises on policy interpretation, damages assessments, and coverage strategy. Her practice also involves representing employers in a variety of disputes relating to discrimination, wrongful termination, and wage and hour violations, as well as trade secret misappropriation and restrictive covenant disputes. Pia also has meaningful hands-on trial experience, having served as the sole junior associate on a week-long federal trial team representing a global insurance company in a high-stakes First Solar coverage matter, where she supported lead counsel across all phases of trial preparation and courtroom proceedings.
Pia maintains an active pro bono practice, with a focus on immigration, housing rights, and access to justice matters. Her commitment to pro bono service has earned her the New York County Lawyers Association Pro Bono Award and Akerman’s Pro Bono Impact Award.
