Akerman is a sponsor of the Florida Association of Health Plans (FAHP) 2013 Conference, Advancing the Future of Health Care in Florida. This conference is attended annually by their membership which is comprised of Florida HMO and PPO health plans, providers, government partners, pharmaceutical, academic, and employer groups with an interest in the legislative and regulatory issues important to the healthcare industry. Bruce Platt, will moderate a panel for the opening morning general session, "Advancing The Future of Health Care in Florida-In The New Age of PPACA." The three day conference features speakers and interactive sessions intended to address national and state health care delivery system issues, interaction and networking with state legislative and regulatory representatives, and a trade show for exhibitors.
