Akerman is a sponsor of the State Bar of Georgia's 18th Annual YLD Signature Fundraiser, “A Night on the Diamond." The 18th Annual YLD Signature Fundraiser benefiting the YLD Public Interest Internship Program (PIIP) will support PIIP’s mission to provide grants to law school students and recent law school graduates who elect to take part in a full-time unpaid summer internship within the public interest law sector. 

Akerman lawyer Brittanie Browning is the past president of the YLD for the State Bar of Georgia. The YLD has more than 30 committees that provide service to the public, the profession, and the Georgia Bar through an array of projects and programs.
