Akerman represented Air Transport Components, LLC (ATC Group), an aerospace component repair and overhaul operator and a portfolio company of AE Industrial Partners, a private equity firm specializing in aerospace, national security, and industrial services, in the acquisition of Aero Controls, Inc. (ACI), an FAA-certified aviation services provider for commercial aviation customers worldwide.
Founded in 1984 and headquartered in Seattle, ACI operates across three locations in the Pacific Northwest. The acquisition brings decades of specialized engineering expertise in complex aircraft components to the ATC Group platform, expanding its component maintenance, repair, and overhaul capabilities and geographic reach across commercial aviation markets.
