Akerman Senterfitt announced today that it represented MiX Telematics Limited (MIXT), a leading global provider of vehicle management solutions delivered as software-as-a-service, in connection with the company's $115 million initial public offering of 7,240,512 registered American Depositary Shares (ADS) in the United States. The shares were listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) on August 9, 2013. As a company in South Africa, MiX Telematics shares are also publicly traded on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (MIX).

The team was led by Kenneth Alberstadt, chair of Akerman's Securities Practice. Carlos Mendez-Penate, co-chair of the firm's Latin America & the Caribbean Practice Group, and Wayne Wald, the Corporate Practice Group leader in Akerman's New York office, were also members of the Akerman team, as well as Palash Pandya, William Sullivan, Peter Salomon, Mark Passler, John Lee, Dalia De Leon, and Ian Minkin.

The team joined MiX Telematics in the bell ringing ceremony on the NYSE floor to commemorate the company's IPO.
