Akerman is proud to share that Healthcare Associate Danielle Gordet has been named an "On the Rise" honoree by the Daily Business Review as part of the publication's 2024 Florida Legal Awards. The award recognizes the region’s most promising lawyers under the age of 40 who are leaders and innovators committed to elevating their profession and community.

Gordet is based in Akerman's Miami office where she provides guidance to healthcare providers regarding compliance with federal and state laws, including, but not limited to, fraud and abuse laws, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), and the Emergency Medical Treatment & Labor Act (EMTALA). On behalf of healthcare providers, she drafts and negotiates agreements, including those for physician services, consulting services, equity and asset purchases, and other agreements that arise in the operation of their businesses. She also assists her clients with the development and maintenance of effective compliance programs, by identifying risks and putting the necessary policies and procedures in place to protect them.  

Gordet was also named "One to Watch" this year by Best Lawyers.
