Sarah Kroll-Rosenbaum is a trusted strategic advisor to her clients, with whom she partners to navigate challenges and opportunities alike. Sarah is a national expert in the staffing industry and leads Akerman’s Staffing Law Sector team, which assists staffing firms across sectors in avoiding and resolving disputes, complying with regulations, and transacting business.
In the staffing context, and elsewhere, Sarah works closely with clients to design and execute litigation strategies through the lens of their business priorities. In recent years, she has led the defense of dozens staffing companies in class, collective, and representative actions that sought to attack the industry’s business model. Sarah has argued extensively in California state and federal courts, including the United States Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, in federal courts across the country, and in arbitration.
Sarah has also contributed to significant sports litigation, including the defense of several antitrust and FLSA cases on behalf of the NCAA and the Pac-12 challenging bylaws that prevent college athletes from being paid to play. She has also represented Major League Baseball, including defense of its antitrust exemption through the Ninth Circuit.
Sarah is a regular presenter for the American Staffing Association, Staffing Industry Analysts, the National Association of Traveling Healthcare Organizations, and the National Association of Locum Tenen Organizations.
