Akerman represented private equity firm Foundation Investment Partners, LLC (FIP) in its acquisition of Paper Converters Inc., a manufacturer of industrial cardboard products serving the textile industry in the Southeastern United States. The acquisition was completed through FIP’s platform company, Sustainable Packaging, LLC.

Founded in 2002 and based in Walterboro, South Carolina, Paper Converters manufactures spiral-wound paper tubes, edge board, and sheeting used in textile applications. The transaction advances Sustainable Packaging’s growth strategy by expanding its manufacturing capabilities and strengthening its ability to serve customers across complementary product lines.

The acquisition brings together Paper Converters and its sister company, Amspak, creating opportunities for collaboration, operational efficiencies, and supply chain continuity across overlapping markets. Paper Converters will continue to operate as part of the Sustainable Packaging platform.
