Akerman represented GRAM ABF in its affiliate’s acquisition of a majority interest in UniVista Insurance at a valuation in excess of $700 million.
GRAM ABF is the private equity division of Grupo Romero Asset Management and is focused on partnering with businesses benefiting the U.S. Hispanic ecosystem. UniVista Insurance is a leading distributor of insurance products and services to Hispanic communities in Florida and Texas. In connection with this investment, the company announced it will accelerate the growth of its core product areas and expand its platform into new products, as well as expand its footprint across the United States.
