Akerman is pleased to announce that its Corporate Practice Group recently represented Seaport Capital of New York City in the acquisition of the equity interests of CyberlinkASP for an undisclosed amount. The acquisition closed in early August.

Founded in 1997, Seaport Capital is a lower middle market buyout firm that invests in communication infrastructure and services, business and information services, and media companies. Seaport Capital funded the investment through Seaport Capital Partners VI, a $240 million private equity fund. CyberlinkASP is Seaport’s sixth investment in the fund.

Headquartered in Dallas, CyberlinkASP is one of the nation’s largest Desktop-as-a-Service (DaaS) and Application Service Providers (ASP).
